Introduction to the DEI Data Standard

This workshop will introduce you to the DEI Data Standard, a shared taxonomy and approach to support funders to understand and monitor the equity of their grantmaking. We’ll explore what funders need to consider when using the DEI Data Standard to collect data about their grants for the first time. We also share options for reporting the data, including by publishing it alongside your 360Giving data.

The DEI Data Standard was created by the DEI Data Group, with support from 360Giving.

We will cover:

• Understanding the elements and the approach
• Different options and considerations for implementation
• Understanding data collection practices and potential issues to avoid
• Options for reporting DEI Data Standard data
• Next steps and support for funders

There will be plenty of time to ask questions.
