Summary

The launch of the 'Safeguarding in Philanthropy: Safer Grant-Making for Greater Impact' research report

In 2025, the Funder Safeguarding Collaborative (FSC) undertook the most comprehensive study to date on how funders approach safeguarding across the grant-making cycle and which approaches achieve meaningful impact. These findings will drive a co-creation process to develop Safeguarding Practice Standards for Funders - a critical step toward aligning funder practice and maximising efforts to keep people safe.

FSC will officially launch the research report “Safeguarding in Philanthropy: Safer Grant-Making for Greater Impact”, during a one-hour webinar.

The webinar will:

  • Introduce the research findings and key recommendations for funders and grantee partners
  • Explore the implications of the research with senior leaders from prominent funding organisations
  • Launch the process to co-create Safeguarding Practice Standards for Funders

We hope you will be able to join us to learn more about the ways funders can support efforts to keep people safe from harm. All attendees will receive a copy of the research report following its official launch at the webinar.

We look forward to sharing these exciting findings with you.
