Summary

This session will focus on mobilising capital: Leveraging philanthropic capital for social impact

Our next Social Justice Funders Group meeting will focus on Mobilising capital: Leveraging philanthropic capital for social impact and specifically how this is enabling greater access to justice. We would like to explore the different ways organisations and funders could invest capital or endowments for public good, showcasing some of the ways this is currently happening.

Some of the presenters include Law for Change and Edenreach.

Edenreach is working to unlock pathways for up to $3.3 trillion in ethical capital to reach unmet legal needs globally, with philanthropic funding playing a key role. Their focus is on enabling that capital to deliver measurable outcomes and be recycled, so that impact compounds over time.

Law for Change backs legal actions that contribute to lasting social change. They work with funders like Esmee Fairbairn Foundation who use their capital to fund cases to increase access to justice.

We have reserved the room from 10:00am-12:00pm, so there will be some time to network afterwards so please do stick around.
